Dyer County High School is a public Title I high school located in Newbern, Tennessee. It is an operated by the Dyer County Schools system. An assistant principal at the school told news agencies, "I trust the teachers" and "If a teacher asks his or her students to do something reasonable to avoid a distraction in the classroom, then we expect the students to follow the () rules."
